The Challenge
In this article, we will take a look at how tuning the Audi S3 can give it that extra kick. To help illustrate what a power tune can give an Audi S3 we will be using the 2015 Audi S3 we had on the dyno. The customer was looking to improve performance.
The Audi S3 are a high-performance variant of the Audi A3. With its turbo 2.0L four-cylinder engine it has the power the A3 lacks. But compared to other vehicles in the performance category it could do better. This is where ECU tuning can make a difference.
The Solution
ECU tuning can turn a vehicle from having limited performance producing its safe full potential. After having a look at the S3 we decided to flash it with a power tune using Alientech KESS3. A power tune focuses on optimizing power and torque. This will improve the throttle response and make the driving experience exceptional.
All of the adjustments are done to the ECU so all the extra power comes from what already is in the car. No need for aftermarket equipment. After the ECU is modified to accommodate the customer’s wish the vehicle goes on the dyno. On the dyno, the vehicle will be tested to make sure that the adjustments are giving the optimized performance and the reliability of the engine is maintained.
